aminath DHAHAU NASEEM
I am a photographer, visual storyteller, and director with 15 years of experience documenting the deep connection between people and the spaces they inhabit. My perspective was forged during a childhood spent aboard ships navigating coastal Asia and refined while studying architecture in Manchester. This background allows me to see the world through a lens of spatial relationships, social landscapes, and cultural geometry.
The way I observe is also shaped by my fascination with how things work and the idiosyncrasies of human behaviour. I am drawn to the quiet, overlooked moments and the intricate processes of artists and artisans. I specialize in stepping into a new community and uncovering its hidden narratives quickly, blending photojournalistic discipline and a passion for social advocacy with authentic storytelling to create a record of human craft, heritage, and the subtle beauty of the mundane.
Driven by an innate need to explore, I travel light and adapt fast, finding inspiration in every new face and coastline.
Got a story? I’ll travel.
